Tyger's Baby Shower

I made this for my friend's daughter. I rolled washcloths and wrapped them with pipe cleaners, then wrapped the pipe cleaner around a lollipop stick. I covered them with little plastic bags and tied a ribbon around them. Very quick and easy! TFL

Big Shot Flower Pot

I did this for a challenge from my demonstrator. It's a lot like the last one, but instead of using a punch for the flowers, I used my Big Shot and sizzlits dies. I hope Cat like it! Oh, the flower on the side of the pot is there because I accidentally stamped on the flower pot and had to cover it up! Here are the deets:
Paper: Really Rust, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, White
Inks: Really Rust, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green
Accessories: Scalloped Scissors, Sponge, Birds & Blooms Large Flower, Birds & Blooms Scallop Circles, Birds & Blooms Flower Pieces, dimensionals

Something A Little Shady Going On

As I quietly sit, alone in my greatroom, my head bowed, my eyes shifting from side to side ... Oh! sorry! It took me over 2 hours to shade the petals of all the flowers and leaves for this project and the next one. I made 4 of these cards and 2 of the next one. I guess I just got a little crazy there for a minute. But the shading was well worth it. It adds so much more dimension to the petals and the pot. I sort of combined a few events in one. My sister had surgery and a very dear friend of mine went into the hospital. I know my sister is doing fine, but I'm still worried about my friend. He lives in another state and I have no idea about my friend. I can't send real flowers, so I'm sending the next best thing to cheer them up. Here are the deets:
Paper: Really Rust, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, White
Inks: Really Rust, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green
Accessories: 5 Petal Flower Punch, Scalloped Scissors, 1/2" Circle Punch, Sponge, Birds & Blooms Flower Pieces (for the leaves), dimensionals

Spread your wings and...

... wish my sister a Happy Birthday! Her birthday is coming up soon and I think she will really get a kick out of this card. I haven't been able to order the new 'Circle Scissor Plus' yet, so I had to use the cutter it replaced. I hope don't need to make many more circle cuts before I get the new cutter! It will make these wings so much easier to make! Here are the deets:
Stamps: Canvas Background, Itty Bitty Background, Alphabet Soup
Paper: White, Real Red, Black
Ink: Real Red, Black
Accessories: Circle Cutter with Cutting Mat, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1/8" Circle Punch, Brads, Mini Glue Dots, Wire Works

I Read You Loud and Clear

This card was a little bit harder than the others. I had to connect 4 corner stamps in the middle of a card. I have the old Stamp Positioner from SU! and if you ever got stuck using it, you would know why SU! replaced it with their Stamp-a-ma-jig. But I digress... This Mother's Day card comes with a bookmark. I made some extra bookmarks to hand out in church. Here are the deets:
Stamps: Victorian Lace Background, Eclectic Corners, Mother's Love
Paper: Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery, White
Inks: Barely Banana, Black, Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink
Accessories: Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Lace Corner Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, 1/8" Punch, Brocade Blue Ribbon

Best Wishes

One of Tony's co-workers is moving to another job. Tony asked me to pick up a gift certificate for him. When I got the certificate, I asked the restaurant manager if they had any envelopes for the certificate. They didn't so I decided to find something I could make to put it in. This Wallet is made of cardstock. It's a shame that you can't see the design on the outside. I took my ink pad and pressed it on the paper in different angles to make it look a little bit like leather. I punched a line of holes all the way around the outside and then drew a line from one hole to another. It looks like it was stitched!

Random Birthday

I got to spend some time with my niece last weekend. It did my heart good. She only lives an hour away, but we don't get to see each other as often as I would like. Her birthday is in a few months, so I decided to make her this card. Every other word out of her mouth was 'random.' On the inside of the card, I am going to write "Random enough for you?" I hope she gets a kick out of it. Here are the deets:
Stamps: Confetti Birthday
Paper: Not Quite Navy, White, Only Orange
Inks: Birthstone Kaleidacolor Pad, Not Quite Navy, Only Orange

Does hair grow on paper?

My SIL loves purple, so for her birthday card I naturally wanted to use my purple card stock. I narrowed it down to two cards. One was a shaker card. I decided to make this one. The background of this card is made in an unusual way. I used shaving cream and re-inkers to make the design. Cool, huh?

I'm hostessing a movie night for the other women in our church's ladies outreach. Tony is tyring to figure out how to elevate the TV so everyone can see. There should be around 20 of us. I think he's worried about it. I'm not. God will make a way!

With or Without?

I made these cute little mailboxes for Valentine's Day. I had extra paper left over, so I made little gift tags to go with them. Tony said they were great the way they were, but I HAD to put some kisses in them. I wanted to make the kisses into flowers. The mailboxes were too small for stems, so I just put a few in each without stems. I think Chocolate makes EVERYTHING better!
Accessories: Big Shot, Bigz Scallop Envelope, Eyelet Border Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circled Punch

February

I haven't been able to work in my craft room in a long time. I have my table in the middle of my great room and with the exception of the last 2 weeks in December, it has been there for months. I had such a hard time finding stamps because they were all in a big storage tub. I would practically have to empty the tub to find what I wanted. My husband took pity on me and made me this Stamp, Ribbon and Re-inker holder. Isn't it beautiful? He even loaded it up for me! He's quite a keeper! I hope to be moving back into my craft room soon!
He even made holes for my re-inkers!

Cat's Birthday

My Stampin'Up! demonstrator (who I love like a sister!), is having a birthday next month. Since she makes cards too, I decided to use a stamp set that I knew she didn't have. As card makers, we keep all the handmade cards that we get, so when we send cards to each other, we don't write on them. I'll write a personal note and put it in the card, but she will have the card to share with others. She moved to Texas and I sure do miss being able to go to her house to stamp.

Valentine's Candy

I made a few candy boxes for Valentine's Day. They hold 3 Hershey Nuggets each. The top slides off the side to get inside. I love playing with nuggets! I can make boxes to hold up to 18 nuggets, but I like the smaller ones. They support themselves better.

Confused? Valentine's Day also happens to be a birthday for my Aunt Ro. I wonder if that was ever a really really good thing or a really really bad thing for her when she was growing up. I thought about double stamping a card for her just to mess with her, but I think that would be better done to someone that I can just hand the card to and see their reaction. I must be in some weird mood!

Valentine's Day!

I love Valentine's Day! After years of waiting for tables in crowded restaurants, for getting rushed in and feeling like we had to eat quickly and rush out for the next couple, we decided to go a different route. Now, Tony brings home lobsters and makes a dinner out of them with new potatoes and corn on the cob. Tony makes the BEST clarified butter. I'll make a nice little dessert and have some wine on hand. Add candles and soft music and viola! Romantic and private.

Ahead and Behind at the Same Time?

A friend of mine has a birthday next month. We have been trying to get together since way before Thanksgiving. I used to see her the day before Thanksgiving because I made her a pumpkin pie every year. Her new (and very sweet) daughter-in-law makes the pies now. Well, we finally got together for lunch last week. There, we caught up on things and exchanged Christmas presents. I'll try to take her for lunch for her birthday, but will probably end up mailing this card. Maybe we will get together before St. Patty's Day! She only lives in the next town... 'Tis the cold and flu season...

My father- and step-mother-in-law are both sick. I wanted to make a card, and then realized I didn't own any stamps that said 'get well' or anything like that. I'll have to rectify this situation with my next order. In the mean time, I made this card to cheer them up:

Happy Anniversary

My brother- and sister- in-laws will be celebrating their anniversary this month. I didn't know them when they got married, but I asked my mom-in-law what her colors were. She told me they were pink and grey. I didn't get the grey in this card, but I think the pinks go well together.

Sloooow Down

I got a late Christmas card from my aunt and uncle. They really had a hectic December. While visiting their children, my uncle got sick and ended up in the hospital. They didn't make it back to their own home until Christmas Day. They assured me that my uncle was doing much better, but they had enough excitement for a while. A "Get Well" card was moot. I thought about it for a while and came up with this card.I found a picture of a snail on the Internet and printed it over and over again. Then, I weaved it into C/S.
C/S - Confetti White, Rose Red, Rose Romance.

Pecan Pie

We always go to my husband's (Tony) grandmother's house for a Christmas dinner. His whole family tries to show up. Tony's uncles' wife made a pecan pie combining 2 recipes. It was so good, that Tony asked me to get the recipe. Well, it came today and I sent out a Thank You card for it. I hope I will have some time to actually MAKE the pie, but for now, just knowing what to use is good enough. This is the Thank You card I made. Here are the deets:
Stamps: Basket of Blossoms
C/S: Natural, Lovely Lilac, Mellow Moss
Ink: Lilac, Mellow Moss
Accessories: Olive Green Organdy Ribbon, Dimensionals

Happy New Year! Ours was great! Hope yours was too! January starts off with the birthday of a former employer. I sent him a card and then made 12 birthday cards like this to replace that one. This card is CASEd (Copy And Show Everyone) from the 1998-99 Stampin'Up catalog. It was the first card I ever made. An oldie, but a goodie! I guess it could be used for any other celebration too! Here are the deets:
Stamps: Confetti Greetings, Fun Corners and Borders
C/S: Ballet Blue, YoYo Yellow, White
Pads: BlackMarkers: Ballet Blue, YoYo Yellow, Marvelous Magenta

Intro

Hi All! This is new for me, so please be patient! I want to be able show the things I create. For the past decade, I use Stampin' Up materials, to make or CASE my creations. I recently branched out to other avenues. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!
