Pheasant FD

If you noticed on the previous card, I used the same stamp set, but the feather looks so much longer! I just cut the image in half and covered the middle with another image. Just a little variation to keep things interesting.
Deets:
Stamps: Pheasant Thoughts
Paper: Night of Navy, Kraft, Cream
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Hole Punch, Twine

All Torn Up FD

I loved making this card. It shows the effect of tearing down and tearing up and image. I prefer the effect of tearing up a piece of paper because it shows the layers of the paper. But, I thought it looked better for the image to stay connected, so I tore down on the inked area.
Deets:
Stamps: Pheasant Thoughts
Paper: Black, Confetti Cream, Kraft
Inks: Black, Ruby Red

My First FD card Revised

This is similar to the first Father's Day card I ever made. I've learned a little bit about how I like my cards to look since then. For instance, the first time I made this, I punched through the face of the card and had the raffia showing when you opened the card. This time, I added a strip of paper to attach the twig and raffia so when you open the card, you don't see in at all. Also, I stamped the words first and then blocked them off so that it didn't have to compete with the background stamp.
Deets:
Stamps: Beauty of Life, Antique Cracking
Paper: Kraft, Handsome Hunter, Cream
Inks: Handsome Hunter, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Hole Punch, Raffia, Twig

Oh Baby!

I made the center card for a baby shower. I wasn't sure if the mom-to-be was having a boy or a girl, so I kept the colors neutral. Someone saw it and asked me to make them a few. Deets:
Stamps: Riveting
Paper: Green Galore, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, White
Inks: Close to Cocoa, VersaMark
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Scallop Circle and Circle Punches

Father's Day '10

My FIL loves Alabama Football. Watching Bama games is, by far, his favorite thing to do, second only to mowing his lawn. I've learned over the past 2 decades that Bear Bryant is as close to being a Demi-God as any one person could get. Bear, may he rest in peace, always wore a hounds tooth hat. It was almost as distinct as the man who wore it. When I found the Hounds tooth background stamp, I knew I hit pay dirt! I'm sure my FIL will love this card!
Deets:
Stamps: Hounds tooth Background, Lovely Letters Alphabet
Paper: Red, White, Black
Ink: Black
Accessories: Large and Small Punches

Graduation '10

I made this card for this year's graduates. I was pretty easy to make after I figured out how to make a two-color card. The school colors are Red and White. I have a tendency to add Black and didn't want to do that this time.
Deets:
Stamps: Tassel Time
Paper: Red, White, Vellum
Ink: Red
Accessories: 1/16" Hole Punch, Star Brads

Wendy's Nightie Shower

Wendy also had a nightie shower. It was a lot of fun embarrassing her with different honeymoon antics. We also had to guess what the items were that were hidden in socks by touching them only with our feet. I guessed the most ones correctly! Maybe I should try typing with my toes; it couldn't be any worse that the hunting and pecking I'm doing now! Any way, I took the bow off the invitation for this shower and the stone off the invitation for her first shower! I keep everything! You never know how you may be able to reuse something in some way.
Deets:
Paper: Black, White
Accessories: Ribbon, Stone

Wendy's Shower

My 'daughter' (not really - I just claimed her) is getting married soon. I went to her bridal shower a couple of weeks ago and forgot to share her card! The hardest thing about making this card was cutting it out!
Deets:
Stamps: Baroque Border Wheel
Paper: Black, White
Ink: VersaMark
Accessories: Glitter White Embossing Powder

Mother's Day '10

I think this is a beautiful card. Things have really improved with the addition of the Big Shot! I stamped the background with the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral. Then, I stamped and embossed another rose and cut it out of another piece of paper. I added more ink to the flower, but it may be hard to see in the photo.
Deets:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Grey, White
Inks: Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Big Shot, Bigz Top Note, Textured Impressions Manhattan Flower, Silver Embossing Powder, Eyelet Border Punch, Pink Ribbon
