July 4, 2010

Finally got the card stock I needed to finish this card. Better late than never! I felt like I was going through withdrawals! I can't stay away from stamping for that amount of time without hurting a little bit! I used my Big Shot to make the embossed background on the So Saffron paper. I added the ribbon to give it a 'picnic' feel.
Deets:
Stamps: Happy Fourth
Paper: Brilliant Blue, So Saffron, Real Red, White
Inks: Brilliant Blue, Real Red

Punch it up

I love tulips. They are my favorite flower. I made this tulip card with punches! I punched out purple hearts and then cut them in half and turned them upside down. Then I used the scallop border punch to make the middle of the tulip and to make the green border. I also punched three rows of holes on the right side.
Deets: Paper: White, Garden Green, Lovely Lilac
Accessories: Punches & Mat Pack

Great Going, Chief!

We took a trip to Valdosta, GA to be at our friend's Retirement Ceremony. It's been a couple of years since we've seen them but have stayed in touch. The ceremony was so very touching. I don't think anyone left with a dry eye! We got to visit with them for a while. I was so shocked to see how much the kids had grown! It's amazing how the kids grew older and we stayed the same!
Deets:
Stamps: Confetti Greetings, Canvas
Paper: Kraft, Black, Bravo Burgundy
Inks: Black, Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Rhinestone, Ribbon, Punch

An Oldie But Goodie

I love this stamp set. It's been retired for a while now, but whenever I make a wedding card, it's the first set I look at for inspiration. It never lets me down! I used my Big Shot to make the impressions on the paper. It's a great accessory to have.
Deets:
Stamps: Wedding Wishes
Paper: Blush Blossom, Black, White
Ink: Black
Accessories: Rhinestones, Chalks, BS Finial Press

I used Vellum on this card. I think it made the card look softer and maybe a little more elegant? I hope so.

Love is in the Air...

A friend needed a few wedding cards on hand, so I went to work! I usually make my wedding cards from the invitations, or incorporate the wedding party's colors. Not exactly a proactive thing to do, but I tried to make a variety for her.
Deets:
Stamps: Wedding Wishes, Antique Background
Paper: Baroque Burgundy, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Black, Baroque Burgundy
Accessories: Chalks, Ribbon, Charm from Hobby Lobby
