Love is in the Air...

A friend needed a few wedding cards on hand, so I went to work! I usually make my wedding cards from the invitations, or incorporate the wedding party's colors. Not exactly a proactive thing to do, but I tried to make a variety for her.

Retreat Napkins

The theme for this year's retreat was "Tea Party." I took the napkins home with me and rolled an image along the borders. The ladies all loved the way they looked!

Retreat '10

I made these favors for the girls at the retreat. The tags say, "Jesus is the sweetest name I know!" They were filled with nuggets that I wrapped. I tried to get a good pic of the nuggets, buy they all came out blurry. You can see them in one of the pics. They say, "Women's Outreach, Retreat, June 3-5 2010." We had such a wonderful time!

So Very Lilac

I don't normally add a ribbon to a card without having a place to tuck in the ends. On this card, I folded the ends under and glued them down. I hope it looks okay. I wanted the flowers to look light, so after I inked the stamp, I stamped it on another piece of paper to get rid of some of the ink off it, then stamped it on the cardstock. Just a little different effect.

So Very Night

This is the 3rd card in my collection of sympathy cards. A friend told me that I should think of it as a comfort to the person who is getting it. It looks like I stamped the letters in a shade of blue, but I actually used Craft White so it would show up.
Deets:
Stamps: So Very, Brushstroke Blossoms
Paper: Grey, Night of Navy, White
Inks: Bordering Blue, Night of Navy, Artichoke, Craft White
Accessories: Ribbon, Scallop Oval & Oval Punches

So Very Caribbean

I wanted to use my Texture Plate on this card, but I have the wrong pad for it! Nuts! Maybe on another card after I get the correct pad. (But probably not on a sympathy card.)

I Hate Making Sympathy Cards

Now don't get me wrong. I own up for my mistakes and I am as sympathetic as the next guy, but I hate for my cards to be representative of a terrible memory in someones life. Does that make any sense?
