Mother's Day '10

I think this is a beautiful card. Things have really improved with the addition of the Big Shot! I stamped the background with the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral. Then, I stamped and embossed another rose and cut it out of another piece of paper. I added more ink to the flower, but it may be hard to see in the photo.

Easter '10

I love these colors together! I tried to watercolor the flower, but opted rather to go with the vibrant color of the markers. This Easter really snuck up on me! I didn't color any eggs, or even make a fresh ham. My church had a great Easter service that I was ready for. I guess that is really the most important thing. Thank God He's not in the tomb!
Deets:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Canvas Background, Say It With Scriptures
Paper: Bashful Blue, Sage Shadow, White
Inks: Bashful Blue, Black, Sage Shadow, Summer Sun
Accessories: Ribbon, Paper Piercer

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This card was a lot of fun to make. I enjoy taking things that look like one thing and then making them look like something else. In this case, I punched out 3 hearts and made them into a shamrock! It was so easy!

Happy Valentines Day '10

I'm having to play a little 'catch-up' now. Thankfully, my elbow is feeling okay. Time to get my cards on my blog! I had to make a template for this card. I punched 6 holes in a card, then sponged ink where the holes were to make the scalloped pink areas. Then, I used craft ink to add the hearts. After all that work, I didn't want to take a chance on regular ink not holding it's own on top of the pink ink.

Well there you have it...

That's a year in my life through 70 different cards and 9 other projects. I started making a dozen of each card, but I was running out of paper too quickly. After a couple of months, I decided to cut down to 5 of each card. I actually made well over 600 cards. That's a lot! And tons of fun! For birthdays (for at least the next 5 years), I'm going to just throw all the birthday cards up in the air and pick whichever one lands closest to me to send out. I'll still make holiday cards. Gotta get stamping! TFL

HB Amy

Amy's birthday is the day after Christmas. I made a template to color the center of the card. Then, I stamped the images in VersaMark and again in black ink. I wanted the "I must be getting old, I can't see the card so well. It looks blurry to me," reaction when she opened the envelope. Tee Hee!

Christmas '09

I went for an easy card this year. It would have looked a little better if I use Silver paper, but I make 80 Christmas cards every year. Silver paper is more expensive, so I used Gray. Not bad, huh?
Deets:
Stamps: Lace Snowflakes, All-Year Cheer I
Paper: Going Gray, Night of Navy, White
Ink: VersaMark pad, Silver Embossing Powder
